The vision of the Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education in the College of Education is to become a leading and distinguished department in preparing teachers, preachers, researchers, and educational cadres in the field of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, as well as advancing scientific research, providing academic consultation, and serving the community. The Department also aspires to achieve ethical, humanistic, and cognitive integration.
  1. Caring for students’ upbringing on sound Islamic principles based on moderation, balance, and acceptance of others, while enhancing the educational process on proper academic foundations.
  2. Adopting the concept of total quality in higher education and implementing it within the Department, including fostering a culture and practice of self-evaluation and readiness for external evaluation, all of which serve as a pathway toward comprehensive quality and continuous improvement.
 
1. The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to give due care to the Holy Qur’an, its sciences, and the Prophetic Sunnah, as well as to graduate distinguished specialists in Qur’anic sciences and Islamic education and prepare them for active participation in public life.
2. The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to graduate distinguished specialists in Qur’anic sciences and Islamic education to engage in educational and teaching practice in the country’s schools and institutes.
 3. The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to graduate distinguished specialists who are capable of working in specialized Qur’anic research and study centers within the country and abroad.
 4. Providing higher education institutions with qualified teaching staff after completing postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD).
5. The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to develop academic curricula in accordance with the decisions of the Deans’ Committee of Colleges of Education and in line with ongoing developments in the Department’s curricula at both the local and international levels.
6. Training students in scientific research and teaching them its fundamentals by introducing them to the structure of research and methods of accurate and ethical documentation, thereby preparing them to become researchers equipped with the tools of scientific inquiry in the later stages of their academic careers.
7. Establishing avenues of cooperation between the Department and local and regional scientific and social institutions through organizing seminars and conducting joint studies.
